Newsletter 21.01.18.

Dear Friends,

Today’s first reading tells the story of Jonah who was sent to Nineveh ‘in obedience to the word of the Lord’. In fact his first reaction was to run away! In the Gospel Jesus invites his first disciples to follow. They didn’t run away initially - but they did later! The weakness and frailty of human beings is not an obstacle to God’s call.

On Thursday we began the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Today Sunday there will be a special service in the Methodist Church in North Walsham at 6 pm and we have been invited to take part in it.

Lent will soon be with us. This year I shall be giving a short Lent course which will be for all three of our communities. More details nearer the time. The first session will be at North Walsham on Friday, 16th February at 7 pm.
