BIBLE GROUP’S next meeting is on Friday 14th February at 2.30 – 4.00pm in the parish hall, using the new series of DVDs on “The New Evangelisation” by Fr Robert Barron – a continuation of his book entitled “Catholicism”. All welcome.

A WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY has taken place from 18th to 25th January. To end the week there is at Aylsham a United Service this afternoon (Sunday 26th January) at the Jubilee Centre, Norwich Road at 4.00pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

WHEN NOTIFYING A PRIEST to visit patients admitted to the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, all requests should be made to the Cathedral on 01603 624615: however, in a real emergency (for someone near to death) the Duty Hospital Chaplain’s bleep no. 07623 611 724 may be used. This number should not be used for general visits.
STUDY DAYS for the coming year have been organised by the Commission for Evangelisation. Copies of the programme are available in the porch outlining the nine study days across 2014 to be held in three centres – Newmarket, Peterborough and Poringland: There are also a series of Lenten Lectures held in conjunction with the Catholic chaplaincy at the University of East Anglia.

BISHOP ALAN INVITES YOU to join him in a Mass for the Sick at St John’s Cathedral, in a Celebration of our Lady of Lourdes: this will include the Sacrament of Anointing. It is on Saturday 15th February 2014 at 12noon. Please note. Regrettably, we will not be able to run a coach, there being too few parishioners wishing to travel to the Cathedral by that means: apologies to those few who did sign up.

CONCERT performed by the Norwich Music Group at St Peter Mancroft Church, Norwich on Saturday 22nd February at 7.30pm. The works to be performed are the ever-popular Gloria by Francis Poulenc and the Organ Concerto “The Cuckoo” by Handel plus other smaller favoured pieces. All profits will be donated to Oxfam.
