The Journey in Faith will begin on Sunday, 15th October at 5pm in the church hall in North Walsham. This time, as well as enquirers, everyone is welcome to attend. Spread the word….
We also have a group of young people who will begin their preparation for Confirmation. Please let me know if you wish to join them.
This Sunday I shall be taking 40 parishioners on a trip to France staying at Chartres and Auxerre. We will be back on Saturday evening. Next weekend we welcome Father Michael Stack who will be staying with us.

Senior Citizens Group (NW) meets on Monday 2nd when there will be the usual activities in the morning followed by an Arts and Crafts session.
CAFOD Harvest Fast Day is on Friday 6th October. We are reminded – what we save by “going without” on Friday we are invited to put in the CAFOD envelope which will be distributed (or available in church porches) today (Sunday 1st October) and returned in a retiring collection after Mass, Sat 7th/Sun 8th.
World Homelessness Day 10.10.17. A Bring & Buy cake stall; coffee morning on Sunday 15th Oct in the Parish Hall after Mass. Donations of cakes, gifts appreciated. Proceeds shared between The Connection at St Martin-in-the Fields & Norwich Salvation Army. For information contact Clare Tuck (01603 736751).
Little Way Healing Ministries: Open Healing Day, with Mass & Adoration, on Saturday 14th Oct, 10.00 – 4.30, at the Bowthorpe Worship Centre, Bowthorpe Hall Rd, Norwich, NR5 9AA. Tea & coffee provided, please bring a packed lunch.

Flower Arranging team at the Sacred Heart is in need of more arrangers; please contact Kate on 01692 404412. An arranger’s turn generally occurs once a month depending on how many are in the team.
The next PPC Meeting will be on Tuesday 10th October at 7.30 p.m. at St. Helen’s Hoveton. Nominations are needed for 3 new PPC representatives; one for each of our three communities to serve on the PPC for the next three years. Nomination forms are in each church and need to be completed, signed and returned to Fr. James by the end of October.
We pray for our sick parishioners especially Margaret Wynes.
We remember all those whose anniversaries occur this week including: Jack Roberts, John (Jack) Barrett, Gwendoline Faupel, Thomas Rawlinson, Eileen Winson, Sylvia Butcher, Joyce Bailey, Emanuel (Manny) Galea. May they rest in peace.
Prayer cards for Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor RIP are available in each or our churches. He died 1st September 2017.
