Today is the Feast of Christ the King.
It is also National Youth Sunday: please do take a newsletter from the Diocesan Youth service, telling you more about what they do. There is also a retiring collection to help support their valuable ministry with young people.
Monday 27th November the Senior Citizens Group (NW) have their usual morning activities followed by Bingo.
On Saturday 2nd December there will be no morning Mass at 9.30am and no confessions at 12noon.
Application forms for First Communion children are available in our churches.
The first meeting for Confirmation Candidates and (for this meeting) parents will be on Sunday 17th December at 5pm in North Walsham in the parish hall.
CAFOD ‘World Gifts’ catalogues are available. Please read and see how your gift can make a difference to those in need.
Remember to send Christmas cards to our twinned parish in Svay Sisophon. Last posting date is end of November. Peel-off addressed labels are available in our church porches.
The ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’. Please bring your filled Advent Boxes back to the churches by next weekend.
Three Events at Aylsham during Advent.
Friday 1st Dec: Simple Cambodia-style Mass to pray for our twin parish in Svay Sisophon, celebrating their Patronal Feast of St Francis Xavier. Followed by tea and cake.
Sunday 3rd Dec: “Come Lord Jesus” – Sung Evening Prayer at 4pm for 1st Sunday in Advent This beautiful candlelit service is for the whole parish and is followed by refreshments.
Support Cambodia Open Evening (& AGM.) on 8th December, 6.00 for 6.30pm. Light supper available – pl confirm for numbers. Info – 01263 577784.
On Friday 8th December, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and there will be an evening Mass at the Sacred Heart at 7pm for the whole parish.
Flower arrangers at North Walsham would greatly appreciate any cash donations parishioners might like to extend towards the flowers for the Christmas period.
We pray for Rosalie Bates who died recently and all our sick parishioners, Margaret Wynes and Linda Dawson.
We remember those whose anniversaries occur this week including: Maureen Hardingham, Frieda Summerhill, Fr Edward Watkis, Linda Ward and Lucy Segovia. May they rest in peace.
