Wonderful Bon Pchum celebration on Friday night 26th. Nearly 70 pairs of shoes outside the door showed how much people from the parish and the Diocese joined in the spirit of the occasion!! On a more serious note, it was great to have Fr Mark Hackeson to lead us [with an impressive command of the Khmer language!!] in remembrance of all those who have died but are still very much with us in the peace of Christ. As in Cambodia,… gifts were brought, prayers said, songs sung and incense offered. Following the PchumBen celebration in Svay Sisophon 3 days before, a message from Father Rajat brought the parish link very much alive. Many thanks to all who came, especially those who travelled from a distance [ Bury St Edmunds, Ely, Ipswich, Poringland and Great Yarmouth] and to all who helped in any way. A special thank you to Clare Tuck for the lovely flowers,Jason Mawe for the pictures and Pauline & Adrian for clearing up at the end!
