Fund raising efforts over the last few months are now starting to show real results. A big effort in October achieved the £1000 needed to pay for half the projected Day Care Centre at Pongro Village which Sister Amor is intending to build. The other half of the funding will come from the Philippines and building is scheduled to start on 17th November, weather and carpenter permitting! The wells at Phnom Prier in Pailin Province have finally got the go-ahead and drilling is hoped to begin in January. Total funds raised for these two projects together is £3000 – an absolutely fantastic result – and very soon we will be able to see the projects take shape. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed, especially to Aylsham Rotary Club, two private donors and to those who supported the Claire Lawrence/Grant Ley night at the Aylsham Lodge.
