Brother Amalan Thainase S.J, who has been at Svay for the last 18 months doing part of his training for the priesthood, has now returned to India to continue his studies. His strong faith, energy, commitment to service, [and his terrible jokes!] will be very much missed by the students and all who worked with him.We also are very grateful to Amalan for updating us with regular news and pictures of life in Svay Sisophon. Our love, thanks and prayers go with you Amalan.
Father Franco Legnani, Parish Priest of Kompong Chhnang on the Tonle Sap River has also returned to his native Italy at the request of his order. He will undertake organisational responsibilities within PIME for the next three years after which he hope very much to return to his beloved Cambodia. All those from Sacred Heart Parish who have had the pleasure of meeting Fr Franco either in KCN or here when he visited last summer will know how much this inspirational priest will be missed in his community. We wish him all the best and assure him of our prayers.
