CROAP was originally a church-run centre for agricultural research, situated about half way between Phnom Penh and Battambang. It’s right out in the countryside, down several kilometres of dirt road and is wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by trees and wildlife of all kinds. Now the Diocese of Battambang is re-developing the site into a Retreat Centre, to be used by groups and by the clergy and church workers. Those members of the parish who have visited CROAP in the past will recall eating simple Khmer lunches under the trees. The new dining hall will be quite a change!
