Dear Friends,
The parable in today’s Gospel challenges us to reflect on what we have stored in our ‘barns’ and to what extent they become the security on which we base our life and future.
You will find details of all the recent clergy moves posted in each of our churches: they will take place in September. Fr David Bagstaff will be moving from Diss to Bury St Edmunds. Fr Denys Lloyd will be leaving Sheringham to retirement in Norwich. His place will be taken by Fr James Fyfe. The newly-ordained priests are appointed as assistant priests to various parishes in the diocese.
Thanks to all who came to the summer Garden Party last Saturday. My family and friends enjoyed meeting with members of the parish. The delicious sausages came from Michael Quinton: 01603 625993. Michael has a shop in Alexandra Road and is a parishioner of St John’s.
Father James
