Today is the first Sunday on our spiritual journey towards Easter. In the Gospel Jesus is tested by the devil at the beginning of his public ministry.
We are now preparing for Confirmation later this year. Please let me know if you have a child of Confirmation age.
38 people have now sent in their booking forms for the parish trip to France in October. Only 9 more places left!

Journey in Faith. – next meeting for those who wish to learn about the Catholic faith is today at 5 pm in the presbytery.
Today’s Mass at North Walsham is a Family Mass.
Live Simply Award. Today you will be given a short questionnaire as you arrive in church. Please would you complete the questionnaire whilst in church; it will be collected as you leave. This is to help us show CAFOD how we are doing working towards gaining our Live Simply Award and what changes we all are trying to achieve.
The Senior Citizens’ Group (NW) meets on Monday 6th. The Group will host Father James’ Lenten Reflection to which the whole Parish is invited. It begins at 11.00am. Mass is celebrated at 12noon. Following the Mass there is a shared lunch and at about 1.30 – 1.45pm the Reflection continues. NB: Monday Morning Mass at N Walsham will at 12noon.
The Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Day. Learning about “Praise”: an enriching Day of Prayer, Teaching and Renewal on Saturday 25th March: 10.00am – 4.30pm at Bowthorpe Church Centre, Norwich, NR5 9AA. Led by Eddie Drozdziak, a long time leader in the Renewal. Drinks provided/ bring packed lunch. For details see posters or contact Philip on 07910 157584.
Friday 10th March is the CAFOD Lent Fast Day. Please take an envelope today and bring it back with your donation to CAFOD on the Sunday.
Stations of the Cross: at Hoveton on Wednesdays, following the Mass. At Aylsham on Fridays at 10.00am following the Mass (apologies for mistaken time in last week’s newsletter) and at North Walsham on Fridays at 12noon.

Message to parishioners at Hoveton. The Meeting Room at St Helen’s is getting cluttered with boxes and miscellaneous items which have been left behind. Please claim any items you don’t want to be stored in the loft. Thank you.
