We welcome and thank Fr Tom Ryan who is celebrating our Masses this weekend. He is a Columban Priest and will be giving an Appeal on behalf of the Missionary Society of St Columban. There will be a 2nd collection in support of the work of the Society: please give generously.
TODAY is Remembrance Sunday and at North Walsham the Mass will begin with a Minute of Silence. There is a Remembrance Day Service at St Nicholas Parish Church today at 3pm to which we are warmly welcomed to attend. Please do try to go along to represent our Catholic support. Our poppy wreath will be laid along with others from local churches and the town council.
In Remembrance You will find in each church a Memorial Book or paper slips on which to write the names of your deceased loved ones; these will be placed on the altar during Masses throughout November.
Next week Fr Peter Brown will be celebrating our Masses: he has kindly offered to hear any confessions within the half hour before each Mass as there will not be Confessions on Saturday 16th at 12noon at North Walsham.
BENEDICTION will be held next Sunday 17th at 3pm, at North Walsham for the whole parish. Why not spend an hour in quiet contemplative devotion.
SENIOR CITIZENS’ GRP – Meets Monday 11th November: am. Computer Workshop; pm. Service of Remembrance for the deceased members of the Group led by Deacon Ron, concluding with Holy Communion. It will commence at 1.45pm in the hall. Relatives & friends of deceased members are warmly invited to attend.

“WORLD GIFTS” (CAFOD) Christmas 2013 Catalogues are at the back of the church. These are given as alternative Christmas presents to family and friends but will make a huge difference to people in developing countries. It includes order form, gift-aid facility – postage FREE.

2. Sending Greetings to Cambodia: the final posting date is Wednesday 4th December. Address slips are at the back of all our churches.
3. During Advent, for those who wish, there will be an opportunity to make financial donations to Cambodia & to purchase Cambodian craft. Support Cambodia Gift Cards (similar to CAFOD World Gifts) will also be available at £5, £10 & £15.

‘YEAR OF FAITH’ There’s still time to put your thoughts into words about your faith so that we can form a collection of testimonies from our parish. We’ve had a few submissions come in – don’t be shy (it can also encourage others) What does your faith mean to you? (No more than 400 words).
CELEBRATIONS for the end of the Year of Faith: over three days – Friday 22nd through to Sunday 24th November, the Solemnity of Christ the King. There will be a torchlight procession of the Blessed Sacrament from Norwich Castle to the Cathedral, and an All Night Vigil; also, on the Saturday a ‘Solemn Mass of Celebration & Commissioning of each Parish for Mission’ at 11am. Sorry, owing to too few passengers there is now no coach for Friday (to the Torchlight procession) but do make your own way if you can.
ALL-NIGHT VIGIL For those who wish to participate in the all-night vigil, the hour 10 – 11pm is the hour chosen for our Parish.
SERVICE in the Celtic tradition, in preparation for Advent at St Nicholas Church, North Walsham Sunday 17th at 4pm. Words, silence, candlelight and music supported by the St Benet Singers . We are warmly invited to join them. See fliers in the porch.
