This Sunday is the mid point in Lent when we can briefly have a break from our Lenten penances!

At North Walsham today (Sunday) the Mass is a Family Mass with the children taking major roles in the liturgy.
The Senior Citizens Group (NW) meets on Monday 12th at its regular time of 11am. There will be the usual morning activities which are followed an early St Patrick’s lunch. In the afternoon Jean Clark will introduce Laughter Yoga.
The 3rd and final session of Fr James’ Lent Course will be held at Aylsham on Tuesday 13th March at 7pm. It is entitled ‘The Passion Story according to St Mark & St John’. To enable as many as possible to get there, please, drivers, offer lifts to those not driving, but who would like to attend.
Women’s World Day of Prayer (NW). Owing to adverse weather conditions on Friday 2nd the service was cancelled and is now re-scheduled for Friday 16th March at 2pm at St Nicholas Church.
A Women’s World Day of Prayer representative for the Sacred Heart. This position has become vacant owing to the present representative having to resign on account of health problems. It only requires support/assistance, together with the other churches in the area, for the annual service which takes place in March. If you could help with this and need further information, please contact Antonia at the Parish Office, leaving your details. You will then be put in touch with the present representative.
Advance Notice: Saturday 24th March, at North Walsham, there is a Service of Reconciliation with individual confessions at 11.30 am.
Stations of the Cross throughout Lent: at North Walsham on Friday’s at 12noon and at Aylsham on Fridays after Mass/Service of the Word; also at St Helen’s they are held on Wednesdays after the morning Mass.
Lent Lunches in North Walsham take place each Thursday of Lent at St Benet’s Hall at 12.30pm. At Aylsham: St John of the Cross – Tues 27th February. Emmanuel Church, Cawston Rd – Wed. 7th March. The Quakers, Red Lion Street – Thur. 15th March and Aylsham Parish Church, Market Place – Wednesday 21st March.
Lent Sponsored Slim (NW). Three of our parishioners, Gerry Francis Teresa Butler & her husband Pete are doing a sponsored slim over Lent to help raise funds for World Youth Day 2019 – February in Panama. Should you wish to sponsor, please see Gerry or Teresa. Thank you in anticipation.

Requiem Mass for Michael Fogarty (NW) is on Fri 23rd – 11.30am.

Live Simply Assessment. As we are shortly due to be assessed by CAFOD to gain our Live Simply Award, we would like to ask you to complete a couple more questionnaires. One will be given out next weekend, a repeat of last March’s questionnaire followed by a further slightly more in-depth questionnaire in early April.
