For a few moments Jesus was revealed in his glory as the Son of God. This must have been both disturbing and reassuring for his three closest followers – an experience they would treasure in the dark days ahead.

You will find in the insert enclosed our Lenten Timetable. In it are listed all the Masses, Services and Devotions taking place over the coming weeks, events that help us on our journey to Easter. Do please read it so you can plan your special journey.
Our first Station Mass is this Friday 17th at 7.30pm. Please make every effort to come along and if you are able to give a lift to others please do offer: equally, if you need a lift, don’t be shy to request one.
The Senior Citizens’ Group (NW) meets on Monday 13th. The group will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day (a few days early!) In the morning there will be the usual activities – Computer Workshop, craft and/or chair exercises, coffee and a chat. At 12.30pm there will be Irish Stew for lunch. This will be followed by singing songs and general merriment in honour of the saint. New members are always welcome. Please ring Teresa on 01692 405007 or 07901 830327.
Bishop Alan Hopes will preside at a Deanery Lenten Station Mass at Poringland on Wednesday, 23rd March. Mass will be at 7 pm with Confessions from 6 pm.
The Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Day. Learning about “Praise”: an enriching Day of Prayer, Teaching and Renewal on Saturday 25th March: 10.00am – 4.30pm at Bowthorpe Church Centre, Norwich, NR5 9AA. Led by Eddie Drozdziak, a long time leader in the Renewal. Drinks provided/ bring packed lunch. .
Friday 10th March was the CAFOD Lent Fast Day.

Confirmation. Young people aged 14+ are invited to sign up for this year’s Confirmation course.
Today, following the 11.00am Mass at the Sacred Heart, the interment of Davyd Randall’s ashes, Angela Sandell’s son, will take place in the Memorial Garden. Anyone who wishes to attend is very welcome.
We pray those whose anniversaries occur this week: including: John Barry, John Price, William Lee, Cynthia Shearing, Michael Sherry, Reginald Broad, Robert Watson, Michael Yates, Gwenllian Cartwright.
