In today’s Gospel Jesus speaks to the disciples about how they will have to live after he has ascended. He tells them that they are in the world but not of the world. This means that they must be faithful to all that they have learnt from him and not compromise with values that are contrary to his teaching. He is sending them out into the world just as he has been sent by his Father.
We too must be ‘true to his name’, not allowing our lives to be ruled by secular values.
Father James
