Dear Friends,
‘Lord, teach us to pray’. The request of the apostles chimes in with our own need to go to Jesus as a master of prayer. In response he shares with them – and us – his own prayer to his Father (and our Father). To pray is not to impose our will on God but to ask him to reveal his will to us. It is to ask him to change us, to form us as his children. ‘Ask…search…knock’; these words underline the need to persevere in prayer and not to lose courage. Prayer should be endlessly patient.

Safeguarding in the Parish. It is vitally important that every parish has up-to-date information regarding those who, through their work in the parish, have contact with children or vulnerable adults. This applies particularly to ministers of the Eucharist and those involved in children’s liturgy or sacramental preparation. New volunteers will need a DBS check and existing checks will need to be updated. Charlotte Collison is the parish safeguarding rep and she can arrange for these checks to be done. You can contact her by email at: safeguardingnorthwalsham@gmail.com
