Dear Friends,
The request of the Greek visitors in today’s Gospel is also ours: ‘We would like to see Jesus’. Over the next two weeks the liturgy will reveal to us the one whose ‘hour has come’. We will follow Jesus in his darkest hours alone, betrayed and deserted by his followers. But he will also be lifted up and glorified so that all peoples will be drawn to him
Father James

With only a week now before Holy Week, it is important that we know the numbers wishing to travel on the coach to St John the Baptist Cathedral on Tuesday 27th March for the Chrism Mass at 7.00pm. The coach will pick up from Aylsham at 5.15pm; North Walsham at 5.35pm and Hoveton at 5.50pm: (departing from the Cathedral at approx. 9.45pm). The coach cannot wait for late-comers so please be punctual. Cost £5; this will be collected on the coach. Please sign the list at the back of the church. For those wishing to travel independently, please remember there is No Parking in the Cathedral parking areas except for Blue Badge holders who should contact Gavin (at the Cathedral) gm@fjbcathedral.org.uk giving their name and vehicle registration and make sure they have their Blue Badge to hand on the day.
A Women’s World Day of Prayer representative for the Sacred Heart is required. The position has become vacant owing to the present representative having to resign on account of health problems. It only needs the support/assistance, together with the other churches in the area, to help with the annual service which takes place in March. If you could lend your support to this and need further information, please contact Antonia (home tel. no. 01692 406452) in the Parish Office, leaving your details. You will then be put in touch with the present representative.
Next Saturday, 24th March, at North Walsham, there is a Service of Reconciliation with individual confessions at 11.30 am.

Live Simply Assessment. As we are shortly due to be assessed by CAFOD to gain our Live Simply Award, we would like to ask you to complete a couple more questionnaires, one given out this weekend, a repeat of last March’s questionnaire, followed by a further slightly more in-depth questionnaire in early April. Thank you for your ongoing support trying to Live Simply. We are nearly there!
