Today’s Gospel is a fascinating story of an encounter that begins on a homely level and ends with a meeting of souls. It is also a classic example of evangelisation. After her meeting with Jesus the woman runs to tell others about what she has experienced.

Now that we are well into Lent make sure you have picked up the Lent leaflet listing all the Masses, Services and Devotions taking place over the coming weeks, events that help us on our journey to Easter. More leaflets are available in each church.
Stations of the Cross: are held at Hoveton on Wednesdays, following the Mass, at Aylsham on Fridays at 10.00am following the Mass and at North Walsham on Fridays at 12noon.
Thursday 23rd – Lenten Lunch at the Methodist Church, Aylsham at 12noon. Also Lenten Lunch at St Benet’s Hall (NW) at 12.30pm
The Senior Citizens’ Group (NW) meets on Monday 20th. There will be the usual activities in the morning – Computer Workshop, craft and/or chair exercises, coffee and a chat. Lunch 12.30pm followed by a talk by Mick James entitled “Glenn Miller’s Journey to Norfolk”. New members welcome: ring Teresa on 01692 405007 or 07901 830327.
Wine Tasting Evening. Friday, 7.30 pm on 7th April at the Friendship Hall, Aylsham. Father James is organising this event which is sponsored by the Aylsham Twinning Association but open to all. Mainly French wines, some from the Loire valley. Cost £10 a head. Add your name to the list at St John of the Cross, Aylsham (or ask someone from the Aylsham community to do it for you!)
