Next Sunday is the Feast of Christ the King & Youth Day.
On Monday 20th November the Senior Citizens Group (NW) will be visited by Sarah Thompson of Extra Care Home Services. Sarah will talk about the work and products she offers, to help people live independently in their own homes.
St Helen’s 4th Wednesday Club for Senior citizens next meets on 22nd November…Coffee served from 1.30am, a simple hot lunch at 12.30pm followed by a free raffle, social activities and games. Tea & cake at 4pm. All seniors welcome. If coming for the first time pl ring 01692 582418 for catering purposes It is our last meeting this year.
The Stalham Area House Mass on Friday 24th November has been cancelled.
The “Walk with Me” Advent 2017 booklet costing only £1 is now available in our churches. Do take one.
CAFOD ‘World Gifts’ catalogues are available. Please read and see how your gift can make a difference to those in need.
Do send Christmas cards to our twinned parish in Svay Sisophon. Last posting date is end of November. Peel-off addressed labels are available in our church porches.
Aid to the Church in Need is organising a week of prayer this month for persecuted Christians, the highlight being Red Wednesday, 22nd November. Mass is at 7 pm at the Cathedral. St Helen’s at 9.30am – Liturgy of the Word & Holy Communion, Rosary with Prayers for persecuted Christians. All are welcome & encouraged to wear red.
For the ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’, for Norwich & Cromer District Food Banks, there are flyers in our churches with suggestions of items the Food Banks really need over the next 25 days. Fill your own bag/box or bring items to be put in the Food Bank collecting boxes. Boxes to be returned to your church the weekend of 3rd December at the latest.

Friday 1st Dec: Simple Cambodia-style Mass and cto pray for our twin parish in Svay Sisophon, followed by tea and cake
Sunday 3rd Dec: “Come Lord Jesus” – Sung Evening Prayer at 4pm for 1st Sunday in Advent This beautiful candlelit service is for the whole parish and is followed by refreshments.
We pray for Rosalie Bates who died recently and all our sick parishioners, Margaret Wynes and Linda Dawson.
We remember those whose anniversaries occur this week including: Teresa McKillop, Charles Pinder, Barbara Cornish, Frederick Walker, Michael Foran, Megan (Maggie) Noone, Malcolm Craven, Francesco Carlucci and Patricia Honey.
