THE LORD IS RISEN, He has passed from death to life, may we all pass from what is temporal and material, to what is God’s and
spiritual.
Thousands of years ago, Jesus died for us and rose again because he believed that “we are worth rising and living for”.
May the resurrection of Jesus give more meaning to our lives lived in loving service to others and for others.
I take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all who worked so hard with great dedication this last week and throughout the year especially the choir, sacristans, servers, readers, ministers, secretary, flower arrangers, counters, all the members of committees, volunteers, ushers and to each one of you who supports the parish in many other ways.
HAPPY EASTER!
Fr. Peter
The Collection at Masses on Easter Sunday (Vigil & Sunday) is personal to Fr Peter. Please keep all other contributions to the parish until the following week.
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham is on Monday 5th May. If you wish to travel on the coach you will need to add your name to the list in your church porch by next Sunday, 27th April. THIS IS IMPORTANT because to book the coach we need to know the numbers wishing to travel. Holy Mass at the Catholic Shrine will be at 12.00 noon following which pilgrims are able to process down the holy mile to the Priory grounds for Benediction. Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch!
CAFOD Family Fast collection last month raised £1,631.20. Thank you for your generosity.
FAITHFUL FLAMES will be starting again from SUNDAY 4th MAY but with a new procedure. There will be a new admissions form for you to fill out for your children, keeping a record of the number of children in the group and also importantly ensuring correct contact information. Email: faithful.flames2025@gmail.com
Assisted suicide committee bias. As we are all already well aware, there are serious issues in the scrutiny of Kim Leadbeater’s Bill. It is vital we let MPs know our concerns and urge that there be a Vote against the bill at the Third Reading. Please take the card “Assist us to live, not to die”, handed to you on leaving Mass and send it to your MP. The card contains advice on finding details concerning your MP.
Churches Together (North Walsham) – Lent Lunches. Thanks to everyone who supported the Sacred Heart’s Lent Lunch. The event raised £172 for Christian Aid.
Readers (North Walsham). New rotas are ready for collection from the church porch; please pick up your named copy.
