Today is the final Sunday in the Church’s year and the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. In the Gospel reading Jesus makes it clear that his kingship is not political – his kingdom ‘is not of this world’. Rather it embraces all who accept him as Lord of their lives.
Sacramental Preparation. We have now reached the stage when we can begin classes for children to prepare them for their First Holy Communion and young people for Confirmation. Enrolment forms are now available in church porches; to be returned a.s.a.p. please.

St Helen’s 4th Wednesday Club for senior citizens next meets on 24th November. Coffee is served from 11.30am, a simple hot lunch is at 12.30pm followed by social activities, a free raffle and games. We finish at 4pm with tea and cake. You may come in for any part of the day or stay for all of it. The cost is £2.50. Holy Hour & Eucharistic Adoration is on Thursdays at St Helen’s, at 3pm starting with the Prayer & Chaplet of Divine Mercy. A time for quiet reflection, meditation and contemplation. We pray the Holy Rosary after 3.30pm.

Advent Collections for the North Norfolk and Norwich Food Banks. North Norfolk and Norwich Food Bank would be very grateful if we could donate some Advent boxes this year. Lists of the items that are particularly needed are displayed at the back of each of our churches. Boxes to be in by the beginning of December so the donated items can be distributed in time for Christmas.
