SYRIA CRISIS APPEAL (CAFOD) – there will be a 2nd collection taken after Mass this weekend.
HOLY WEEK and THE TRIDUUM Please keep leaflet of times of services over Holy Week/Easter handy. For those who missed last week’s insert there are extra copies in the porch. We should really make every effort to join our Community for the three great liturgies of this week: Maundy Thursday at 7.00pm; Good Friday at 3.00pm and the Easter Vigil & First Mass of Easter at 7.30pm – which really is the high point of the whole week. We hope for a full church at each of these Liturgies.
The final “Holy Week Choir” practice is on Monday evening at 7.00pm in North Walsham. Do come along.
Ecumenical Night Prayer at St Michael’s, Aylsham on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
N.B. There are no 12noon Confessions next Saturday, nor the 5.30pm Mass at St Helen’s in the evening.
ALTAR SERVERS from the three churches are welcome to serve at the Holy Week Services in North Walsham. Please bring your alb if possible.
CHRISM MASS at St John’s Cathedral on Wednesday (27th – Holy Week) is at 7.30pm. The coach leaves our churches at the following times: 5.15pm at Aylsham: 5.35pm N. Walsham and 5.50pm Hoveton. Please be punctual as it will not be able to wait for those not there. Those who haven’t yet paid their £4 fare may do so on the coach. There are three spare seats – see Fr David if you would like to go. Coach departs from the Cathedral at approximately 9.45pm.
OFFERTORY ENVELOPES, both named (for those who gift aid); and un-named, (for those who just like to use envelopes) are now in the porch for collection.
THE COLLECTION on Easter Sunday (including Easter Vigil) is personal to Fr David. Please keep all general contributions for the parish until the following week.

“JOURNEYING WITH JESUS” St Nicholas Church (North Walsham) warmly invite us to join them at 4pm this afternoon (Palm Sunday) at a special service to try to enter more deeply into Jesus’ journey to the cross, around the Stations of the Cross – helped by music, silence, candles, readings, prayer and reflection.
CONFESSIONS – the final opportunity before Easter is on Maundy Thursday following Morning Prayer until 10.15am.
ST HELEN’S 4th Wednesday Club – 27th March. Coffee at 11.30am, hot lunch at 12.30pm followed by social activities and games. If you have a spiritual poem, reading, prayer or story that has meant something to you and would like to share it, please bring it to read.. Free raffle. Finish at 4pm with tea and cake. All senior citizens welcome.
SENIOR CITIZENS’ North Walsham – next meeting is on Monday 15th April.
CHILDREN’S SERVICE On Good Friday there is a special inter-active Service at 11.30am in the church at North Walsham. Do bring the children.
PAINTING COMPETITION – An Easter Scene Open to young people 12 –18 years, from those in secondary education, members of youth/church/parish groups & individuals. Entries to depict one scene from the time of the Last Supper to end of the Easter Octave. Please see poster on notice board for details. Entries posted with details, to arrive not later that Friday 12th April.
LENTEN ALMS: Remember there is a special collection plate/bucket/wall slot at each of the churches to received any contributions. It is to support the training of priests in missionary countries.
BLESSING OF FOOD will take place at 2pm next Saturday in North Walsham. This is particularly a custom of the Polish community who come to have the food for Easter Sunday blessed, but anyone else is very welcome to come along.
