Dear Friends,
The Sunday readings are already beginning to look towards Pentecost. In today’s Gospel reading Jesus promises the Holy Spirit who will teach the apostles all that they need to know in the future. By the time of the Acts of the Apostles (1st reading) the Spirit is clearly at work guiding the early Christian communities and energising them for the spread of the Gospel. That same Spirit has always been active in the Church and is present among us to this day.
God bless,
Father James
