MASS TIMES (A Reminder) On Thursdays at 9.30am in North Walsham there will now always be Liturgy of the Word & Holy Communion followed by Exposition until 10.15am.
CAFOD Harvest Fast Day is on this coming Friday (3rd October). What we save by “going without” on Friday we are invited to put in the CAFOD envelope (distributed today as you leave Mass) for next weekend’s Second Collection.
HARVEST THANKSGIVING will be celebrated in our Masses next weekend. At Aylsham and N Walsham parishioners are invited to bring items for the Offertory Proxcession. NO plastic bags please, so that we adorn the church with God’s bounty – and not that of local supermarkets!! Perishable items will be sold after Mass for CAFOD; store cupboard items will go to the Food Bank.
To welcome Father James socially we are holding an reception next Sunday, 5th October in the Parish Hall following the 11.00am Mass: drinks will be provided. Please bring finger food to share Everyone is welcome – it would be lovely if parishioners from our three churches could come along for the occasion.
CONFIRMATION 2015The first meeting will take place this Sunday 28th September at 4.00pm in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall, North Walsham. Candidates should be 14 plus years old. THE ROSARYwill be said before Mass each Sunday in October; at 10.30 am at the Sacred Heart; at 8.30am at St John’s and prior to Mass at St Helen’s at 5.00pm each Saturday. Volunteers to lead the Rosary at the Sacred Heart are invited to sign the sheet at the back of the church. There are also leaflets on how to pray the Rosary, available for purchase.

HARVEST SUPPERS:
At St John of the Cross (Aylsham) at 7.00pm on Saturday 4th October. You will be served a ploughmans or quiche and dessert. Please bring your own drinks; tea/coffee provided. £7: proceeds go to the Roof Fund.

FIRST COMMUNION PROGRAMME 2014/15 If your child is in Yr 3 or above and you wish them to be enrolled in the Parish Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist, please complete a registration form for enrolment to be found at the back of the church asap.
SYUPPORT CDAMBODIA MUSIC EVENING: held on Fri 10th October at 8pm. Please note venue has been changed to: The Aylsham Lodge Hotel, Norwich Road, Aylsham NR11 6JH (not the Black Swan Rooms). Local young singer/songwriters Claire Lawrence & Grant Ley in concert. Proceeds go to Pongro Village Day Care Centre, being helped by Support Cambodia in 2015. catholic CHARISMATIC DAY OF RENEWAL will take place on Saturday 11th October at the Worship Centre, Bowthorpe, Norwich: led by Stgeve Murray, his theme “Jesus, the Light of the World”.
WORLD YOUTH DAY 2016 – are you coming? Bishop Alan is inviting all young people over 16 years by July 2016 to join him on Pilgrimage to WYD in Krakow, culminating in Mass with Pope Francis. Pope Francis has asked that the whole Church should offer prayers this weekend for the guidance of the Holy Spirit on the forthcoming Synod of Bishops (5-9th October) which will discuss the pastoral challenges of the family in the ciontext of evangelisation.
