NEW YEAR EPIPHANY CANDLELIGHT MASS On 5th January 2013 at 6.00pm, this Mass, for young people across the Diocese, is held at the White House, 21 Upgate, Poringland, Norwich NR14 7SH; it is followed by refreshments, a bonfire & fireworks. Please bring a wrapped gift to the value of £5 to go into a lucky dip. See fliers in the porch for more details. Fr David is presiding at this Mass.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has worked so hard to get our three churches decorated for Christmas. Thanks also go to those involved in the planning and organisation of our Advent and Carol Services, for the music and singing over the Christmas Festival. Thank you to the many people who contribute to the life of the parish by doing various things behind the scenes “week in and week out”. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ALL! A special thanks to the children and their Leaders for the contribution at the Carol Service and Christmas family Mass.

OUR THANKS TO FR DAVID The parish would like to thank Fr David for his unfailing support and ministry to the three communities throughout what has been an incredibly demanding year for him with his additional administrative duties; never falling short, always giving of the maximum. Thank you from our hearts.
PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND Palestine Pilgrimage is a UK Registered Charity set up by the Diocese of East Anglia to facilitate pilgrimages in support of the Christian community in the Holy Land. This is a special pilgrimage for the Year of Faith, led by Fr Robert Hill who has a Doctorate in Biblical Studies. Pilgrims will have the chance to listen to the scriptures in their original setting, visit major sites in the Holy Land with opportunities for discussion and reflection on passages from the Bible. It takes place on 14th to 21st October 2013 with flights from/to Luton and Manchester. £1,300 per person, half-board sharing a twin room. £200 supplement for single rooms. Deposit and Booking Form required by 14th January 2013. As places are limited an early booking is recommended.
DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO ROME – 16th to 20th September 2013. A few places are still available but as it is now past the date for the earlier cost prices may have increased. This is to mark the “Year of Faith”.
SENIOR CITIZENS’ GROUP will resume meetings on Monday 7th January. The Crib is made by Sheila Hall (on display in the porch of the Sacred Heart) and donations will go to “Crisis at Christmas”.
BIBLE GROUP resume studies on Tuesday 8th January 2.30 – 4.00pm.
PARISH WEB SITE: Our new parish site is just up and running….this means we have some of the basics, including the current newsletter and Mass times; but there’s lots more work to be done in making sure that all our parish activities are represented and that there’s a space for all necessary information. www.sacredheartnorthwalsham.com

BURNS NIGHT SUPPER – Come and help raise funds for Group 111 HCPT (who take disabled children to Lourdes at Easter 2013) by enjoying a superb evening out – three course meal, half bottle of wine pp., dancing and music in our parish hall on Saturday 26th January. 7.00 for 7.30pm.
