Dear Friends,
What a contrast between the depressing musings in today’s first reading with the powerful message in the second. Paul speaks of a radical conversion: at its heart is Christ – ‘he is everything and he is in everything’.
The murder of Father Jacques Hamel in France has been the most shocking and disturbing item of news this last week. We keep him and the community he served for so many years in our prayers.
Father James

Safeguarding in the Parish. It is vitally important that every parish has up-to-date information regarding those who, through their work in the parish, have contact with children or vulnerable adults. This applies particularly to ministers of the Eucharist and those involved in children’s liturgy or sacramental preparation. New volunteers will need a DBS check and existing checks will need to be updated. Charlotte Collison is the parish safeguarding rep and she can arrange for these checks to be done. You can contact her by email at: safeguardingnorthwalsham@gmail.com
