In today’s Gospel Jesus promises that people from across the globe will enter the kingdom of God and sit at table with patriarchs and prophets. But many of those to whom the prophets and patriarchs were sent will find themselves outside. Many of his hearers failed to recognise who he was and did not hear his message.
On Monday, 26th September Bishop Alan will come to the parish to administer the sacrament of Confirmation to a group of our young people. The Mass will be at 6 pm at North Walsham.

Holy Hour & Eucharistic Adoration is on Thursdays at St Helen’s at 3pm – a time for quiet reflection, meditation and contemplation.

The annual Memorial Garden Mass, held at the Sacred Heart, will take place on Tuesday 23rd August at 6pm: all are welcome. Should the weather be unsuitable the Mass will be held in the church. Help from volunteers to set up the chairs in the garden, around 5.30pm, would be greatly appreciated.
St Helen’s 4th Wednesday Club for senior citizens next meets 24th August. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served from 11am, a simple hot lunch is served at around 12.30pm followed by social activities. We finish at 2pm; new members are welcome. Please leave a message on 01692 582418 by Tuesday 23rd if coming for the first time.
